I am very excited to announce the launch of the Front Shop Training Academy. The aim of the Academy is to provide pharmacy personnel with regular training sessions in order to raise the level of knowledge in pharmacy. Knowledge is probably the most important attribute that will set you apart in pharmacy – the more you know the better the level of service you will provide. A more professional service level will ensure happy customers, which in return will ensure more feet through the door and therefore better turnover. Marketing trends have shown that due to economic constraints, more and more consumers will self medicate before going to a doctor and I don’t know if you realise what an important role you, as pharmacy personnel play in providing healthcare advice. Consumers have been and will in the future look towards you more and more for advice. Training sessions will be provided in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, but as soon as additional venues become available, we will roll it out to other major cities. Presentations will be published in Front Shop the month after the training session, so that all our readers will benefit from the training.
